We love adventure, so we’re offering…
Free outdoor adventure sessions for adults in either Bushcraft, Navigation or Archery, where you will push your skills and learn some Maths along the way.
Boost your confidence and improve your everyday Maths skills with ‘Adventure Numeracy’. We offer friendly group sessions tailored to your pace, in a supportive and fun outdoor environment.
We will work through three exciting outdoor sessions that focus on different activities to build your confidence in not only Maths but a variety of outdoor skills, showing you how Maths can be a lot of fun but practical.
Spend a day in the mountains learning practical Maths through navigation, route planning, and distances, all while enjoying an adventure in the great outdoors.
Ignite your Maths potential while learning essential survival skills, purifying water, cooking on an open fire, and building survival shelters.
Feel the thrill of archery while tallying scores and boosting your mental arithmetic through fun games and smart techniques.
We want you to focus on enjoying yourself and leave the rest to us.
With every session, we guarantee:
- Onsite childcare while you enjoy your half-day session
- A meal provided onsite
- Teaching in Welsh is available
- You can bring a friend or two with you to make it more fun
- Practical help with your activity and some maths skills
- It’s all completely free, no matter how many sessions you sign up to.
You can attend as many sessions as you like to build your confidence in your outdoor skill and Maths, there’s no limit, we just want you to leave feeling happy and confident.

We are offering these sessions to anyone in Denbighshire over the age of 19, who has not yet achieved a GCSE Maths or level 2 numeracy qualification from any of the following.
- Individuals we would love you to come along, you can bring a friend for moral support or if you’re brave enough come on your own that would be equally awesome!
- Businesses and community groups can bring as many as you like to any session/s from their organisation, no matter what your background.
The more the merrier, we want to encourage as many people within the surrounding area to be confident with Maths and outdoor activities, there are no tests, no suitability criteria, if you feel you could do with a boost in Maths – just come to us! Don’t forget it’s free!
